Thread: My First Flower Garden

    My First Flower Garden

I have always been the first to admit I have a black thumb. At least for plants in the house. But this year I decided to throw caution to the wind and see if I could grow flowers. So many people I know have beautiful gardens and make it seem so easy. Well with Doug's help with remembering to weed and water we were able to have some beautiful flowers come up. These are the ones that are in bloom right now in our garden.

I love them all but this is the order of my favorites first

Beautiful! Do any of them have a scent?

They have a mild scent that is nice but not overwhelming.

    Oh, these are just beautiful!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    Lovely - thanks for sharing

I'm unable to grow lilies - the deer love them so much that they never bloom

Thanks all. I am thinking next year on adding a few raspberry bushes(we love them) and I have heard they can be easy too.

Took some more pictures today of some of the newer flowers that have bloomed

THis is a picture of the whole garden

These tall stalks are now starting to bloom. I can't remember the name of the flowers though. Sorry. The one starting has little yellow buds on it.

Sheena and Luna are jealous of all the pictures being taken of the garden so had to include some new ones of them

Every day it is a surprise to see what has opened and what colors they are. I love it.

I absolutely love the first two flowers!! That second one looks like it was lightly spray painted!
