A guy in the Edmonton Area decided it would be interesting to set up a web cam and watch a Robin's nest and post it for everyone to follow. The link is http://www.birdcam.ca The eggs are due to start hatching any day now!

Since I posted this yesterday, two of the eggs have hatched David has posted a few of the early pics on his facebook page for easy viewing. I think it's amazing how fast these babies grow
How fun! It was always very special to find a pretty piece of robin's egg shell in the spring, as you knew a new generation had hatched!
I've Been Frosted
Yesterday the last two eggs hatched It's hard to believe that in a little over a week they will be big enough to leave the nest
David is taking high rez pics of the babies. It's amazing how much they've grown already, and they sure are not very pretty...yet
i so appreciate your posting the bird nest/hatchling pictures.....thank you .....i love them!
Thanks to PCB!
Newest pic that I think is precious, a pic of the whole family

Another interesting pic of the 4 babies being fed
David's newest picture shows how much the babies are growing. They are now 4 & 5 days old.
We have a couple of our own Robin's, but their nest is in a place where I can't take pictures without disturbing the nest. I think it's wonderful what David is doing.
Today's picture shows how much these guys are growing Here is also a link to a short video of Mom & Dad feeding the babies

I was hoping that there would be a new picture that I could post, but unfortunately none were posted. The web cam did catch some great shots today. The babies are growing really fast and one today showed that they now have eyes that open and their feathers are becoming more prominent. Hopefully tomorrow David will share more high rez pics.
This is the newest high rez pic. It's a bit fuzzy, but shows how much they've grown
Newest pic taken this evening There is also a new YouTube video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRRjdOkrA1E A time lapse movie using 645 pictures at 15 frames per second.
It is absolutely amazing how fast these little guys are growing. You can now see the wing details and they are flexing them. There are no new high rez pics, but there is a new You Tube video at

Newest picture taken last night at 8:50 PM (MDT). Have seen the little ones flexing their wings, but no sign yet of them trying to fly. All too soon they will be gone
