    She's grown a lot! Happy Birthday, Lucy! She's got such warm colors and an interesting snake pattern. (I was going to say interesting skin pattern - but do snakes actually have skin? I know they have scales.)

    You can actually call it skin as the term, 'shedding their skin' is used.

    That's the first time I see a snake of that colour - very pretty. I don't know much about snakes in general but I like to watch them go about their business. The closest I ever got to a snake was when our son brought a garter snake home from the cottage and built it a screen box to keep it in...it wasn't in the box a heck of a lot, made me a bit squeaminsh when he let it loose in the house but we survived. I do remember finding the skin in the cage, before that we had no idea snakes shed their skins.
