    Hail Storm Hits Findlay

Last night we were hit with hail the size of Golf balls. There was an auction going on down the street and with tornado sirens going off, downpouring rain and golfball size hail, the people kept coming! Here are some of the pictures I took:

Now for the pictures of the people who parked along our street to go to the auction:

This is Christy's van - she pulled it up as close to the garage as she could - if you look close you can see a crack started at the left hand top of the windshield. The top had lots of dents.

And the aftermath of melting hail, more rain:

This is the neighbor's back yard:

The storm drain between his and our yard

And my pond reaching overflow status:

My flower gardens are suppose to be in the Findlay area flower tour in July. But so many things were damaged, we'll have to see.

Oh yeah and one final picture of Smokey, hiding in the hallway - he knew exactly where to go where there were no windows (as we don't have a basement) At one time, Christy and I, Jasmine and Dominc and 6 dogs were in the bathroom.

Gosh, that was quite a hail storm!! Such a shame about your plants, but at least you're all safe.

I'm sorry that this happened but I'm glad that you're all okay. I hope you won't get a lot of flooding next.

Ouch, Ouch. Those hail stones hurt. Sorry about the cars.
We had these in Indiana, but not where I live ,this time.

Smokey is pretty smart in his choice of safe places. My Smokey rides out
the storm in the bathroom & Maggie prefers a spot under the dining room
    table.

Yikes! I'm so sorry about all the cars and your garden, but I'm glad you are all safe. i'm starting to dislike spring storms almost as much as winter snow storms.

What an experience! I cannot believe the size of the hail - and I am surprised that you didn't have more damage than you did.

What a shame about your flower gardens - but July is a bit away so
    everything might recover by then.

I am just glad that you all were safe. Smokey is looking good - his coat is beautiful.

We get them where I live....every couple of years we get a bad one.
About 10 years ago almost every house here in Armidale had to have their roofs replaced, and pretty well every motor vehicle that wasn't in a garage was damaged badly.
