Mom looks quite young and quite thin too. What kind of milk are you giving them. Cats are lactose intolerant so cows milk is bad but they have no problem with goats milk or a milk replacer which you can find at the pet store. Kitten food would be great for all of them. Momma looks like she needs to gain some weight. I am sure feeding those little rugrats has taken a toll on her. I would say the kittens are around 6-8 weeks. They are a good size.

It is hard to say what the eye thing could be. I might simply be irritated from dust or bushes or anything like that. It could be an infection or any other number of things. When she trusts you enough to hold her (momma cat) then try bathing her eye with some cotton balls covered with warm water a few times a day for a few days. Usually if it is an irritation or a cold in the eye this will help clear it up. If it is more then she will probably need medication to clear it.

They are all really sweet. Hope all goes well with them and that they will get great homes. Good luck.

The kittens are all adorable and the mother cat sure is gorgeous. I hope you'll be able to fatten up the mother cat a bit. Good luck.

    Thank You everybody!!

Well, the update is that, after coming home from school, I went to check on the tiny tots and the momma, they were not in sight, I clapped, whistled, called out to them, but couldn't find them. Then I hoped the momma would come soon because the clouds were roaring and probably it would rain. It rained but not much. Rained many times but not for a long time. I poured some milk in their bowl and when I came back to check on them, the momma was coming out from under her hiding place and I was soo happy. Then I went over and was going to pat her, but she hissed and mewed, I think calmly brought my hand close and gave her some scritches and she became all nice with me and wasn't afraid much. I was sooo happy she allowed me to pt her! And then her lovely widdle tots came out one by one, I was going to shriek with happiness when I saw them. I was missing them the whole day!!! Then later, they were playing ever so sweetly! I just wanted to go over and squeeze them! One wouldn't even let anybody near it. it would bite them and when its momma came over to lick it it started pawing her and biting her. And the momma was so patient that it wouldn't say anything to them even when they were biting and pawing her tail I wish I could make a movie but by then they could have left or went to sleep.
And once, the kittens were so into their games that they went past me without knowing they were actually near me. And when they would stare at me their eyes would be wide open and so frightened so I did not pat them even though the orange one was extremely close to me.

And about the milk, I'll check and tell what animal's milk it is. The little kittens were lapping the milk sooooo sweetly I wanted to go over and give them a huggie!! I'll try fattening up the mother! She's really skinny. And, please pray her eye doesn't have anything seriously bad in it and it isn't going to harm her. I hope she allows me to wipe it.

Well, bad news, I've been giving them cow milk. And the only other milk we have is powder milk, we mix water in it and milk's ready, but it isn't gonna help the kitties, is it?

Well, they didn't come out today because it was extremely extremely hot!!!! And so, probably that's why they didn't come out. I didn't see the momma, but the kittens came out to play for a few minutes. Well, not much to tell about today.

Sana the problem with cows milk is that is has lactose and lactose will cause diarrhea. You can check the lactose content in the powdered milk. I give my 2 cats that like milk some skim milk 1 time a week and it doesn't bother their tummy or give them diarrhea. As for the powdered milk do you know if it is whole milk, partially skimmed milk or skimmed milk powder? Are the kitties getting anything other than milk to eat? Do be sure to have water available for them at all times. Leave out a nice sized bowl of water for them to drink and change it or add some ice cubes too it a few times a day to keep it cool if it is sooo hot outside. It is getting quite hot here now too and we have started this week putting ice in the dog water bowls and the water bowls we leave out for the stray and neighborhood cats.

If the mom is there, they shouldn't need milk, or, am I missing something here? Dry kitten food is definitely good for them all.

I'll try adding ice cubes in the water bowl when I go up to check on them. The milk I will check and let you know. I give them something like, what is made for lunch, what we are eating, like....I don't know, I think you call it the French bean,

    here's a picture.

The green thingies in it, we chop them up and add them to minced meat. It isn't spicy, it's just a normal taste, but when I fed them this, there weren't any potatoes or spicy stuff. So, I just checked if they liked it and the momma ate it all up! I hope it wasn't something bad for her.

Well, update, the mother still hasn't come out, I think I haven't seen her since Friday afternoon!

And second this is the milk I use to give the kitties and the momma, was cow milk and the second, the other milk I used to give them, its powder milk, and there was a picture of a cow and a milk can on it, meaning most probably its cow milk, too. Well, there is no other milk in the house and so, all I could do was put up cow milk for them to drink. I put up water with three ice cubes in a bowl and its next to the milk bowl.

While I was washing the bowl for the water, I saw the orange kitty come a little to the front and then it started staring at me. I tried not to keep an eye contact because it would probably go back inside, but when I came close to put the water bowl it was gone. I saw no other kitty up till now. Its 7:21 in the morning so they're probably asleep.

Oh! and how could I forget. My cousins came on Friday and I showed them the kitty and the momma. They at once recognized the mother. This was the same cat who came to their home, she only had one kitten with her then, it was an orange and white one, very very very much similar to the one that lives in my home, now. The mother lived with them and then later left her kitten and went off. The kitten did not live with my cousins. It started traveling from here to there, and then later it came to their home and it had a pretty badly broken paw. I wouldn't want to describe it. I saw it and I was like, it can't be the same kitty that I used to see! And now I hope this cat doesn't leave these poor babies here alone. I can care for them, but I wouldn't want them to turn up just like the other kitten. They are still very young. My cousins named the kitten, Kitta and the mother, Hurayra. It means kitten and cat in Arabic.

Now the trio that lives in my home, I still haven't named them. I just hope that Hurayra doesn't abandon these three.

And so, I have a question, is it true that when a baby kitten still feeds on its mother is picked up by a human, the mother abandons it or leaves it, so the human could care for it?

    Well, that's all for now

Well, another sad update. I did not see the mom since Friday afternoon and I have up till now from the crack of dawn, I have only and only seen the orange kitty. I was getting worried. The person who works in my home said the cat took all of her kids and went away, I said no and that I will search for them. I used a stick and saw that the deeper part of the hiding place was wet, I was moving it around the hole and suddenly I heard a sneezing sound like, ""khiaon!!" and then I ran as fast as I could and put the stick on a wooden box and then, turned to see if anything had come..I saw nothing..nobody

I hope they are all ok and are still here and together...
I hope you I didn't hurt them, I really hope nobody got hurt. I hope they are safe, together and are unharmed.

A mother cat will leave her kittens when the time has come to do so. They will not stay together forever. This is completely normal & natural for them. So do be prepared that momma will leave. As for the kittens...you say it is very hot during the day so they will most likely stay in hiding where it is cool. Your best chance at seeing them will be in the evening when it gets cooler. You can just go out and sit quietly for awhile, maybe read or something. They will come out to eat & get some 'freedom' & 'activity' in the evening.

Green beans won't hurt the kitties at all. My cats that eat wet food all eat veggies. They eat carrot, peas, green beans, spinach, pumpkin, squash, potato & even some rice. These things are in their high quality, natural cat food. I give them wet food that is only rice, cooking liquids, meat, & veggie. It is all natural. So, if you want to give them meat with any of those things it is ok. Just make sure it has no extra stuff (spices etc) in it. Lots of people make their own cat food for their kitties because it is better than canned food which has all kinds of preservatives & additives & fillers.

This is the food I feed mine. They like the 1st one (natural) the best. They eat dry food (Royal Canin Fit 32 & Sensible 33) with it to give them a completely balanced diet.

I feed the momma cat I am caring for this. And she gets this with it as well as this. (Gimpet cat milk)

You are doing a lot for them by providing them with extra nutrition and giving them a better chance of surviving than just doing nothing. So, know that you are doing a good thing.

You are sooo correct!! They really did come out in the evening. The guy who works in my home, told me that they were out and playing, then they hid when they saw me. They are still very afraid of me, they don't come close when their mother is away, the kitties stay at the front of their hiding place, but don't step out And I still haven't seen the mother, the kittens are all together and I am not sure where the mother could be. They came out in the evening when it was cooler, I pray and I hope that it is a cool and nice tomorrow

Thank You for increasing my knowledge about kitty food. I can, for now only feed them veggies that are cooked my home. Today there was chicken, should I give them some? There might not be sooo much spice in it. Would it be alright?

You can give them the chicken. Make sure there are no bones and to be sure just rinse the chicken off with water to clean away any spices or herbs that may be on it. Meat, be it chicken, fish, beef, goat, pork, wild game is good for them. Just make sure there are no bones and rinse it off to clean away any spices that might be on it.
