What a sweet surprise to see a racoon honoured as POTD! You are beautiful, Rosie, and it sounds like your loving guardian has all of your needs covered. I knew someone that had a pet racoon, and when let out in the house it would open all the cabinets and pull out pots and pans to play with, making quite a racket! As I began to read your bio I was wondering if you were allowed access to trees for climbing, and am glad you do as trees are an integral part of a racoon's natural environment. Happy POTD to you and your devoted guardian, darling Rosie!

Hi there precious Rosie! Happy Pet of the Day to you sweetheart, and to your proud young person too!
What a treat it was to pull up Pet of the Day this morning and see a beautiful Raccoon staring back at me! I was so touched reading your young person's loving tribute to her (or his) very special best friend! What a devoted, caring and responsible guardian you have in your human, Rosie! It's clear she (or he) loves you dearly, and wants only the best for you; having done all in her power to meet your very special needs, physical and emotional! As Avajoy has said, she/he has "all the bases covered," including but not limited to excellent veterinary care, a yummy healthy diet, and the most deluxe indoor and outdoor digs, complete with your very own tree to climb! hehe And of course, saying that you're blessed with all the love your heart can hold goes without saying! Life is good! A raccoon is not the pet of choice for most families, but there's no doubt you and your family make one perfect match!
Thanks to your dear person for sharing you and your heart warming story, your heart melting photos with us all! It was such fun meeting you and reading all about your wonderful life, and just how much you mean to your person; you truly are special, your human, too!

I love racoons. My dad had one when he was a boy and used to tell me stories about it. They are special animals for sure. I'm glad you are with someone who knows how to take care of you properly. I hope you are having a wonderfully fun day.

Rosie is a superstar! Sounds like a great, safe life for a raccoon. So many wild ones in B.C. in the city and many starve in winter and get hit by cars as well. Long and happy life to ya Peace and love
