    Check out my mate Chris........

    He flew over to Florida the other day to take delivery of a yacht he had just purchased. The yacht, a Morgan Catalina 440 was moored and for sale in North Carolina, and because the selling company lost some money because of the hurricane, they dropped the price from $350,000 to $285,000. Chris bargained a bit more, and got it for $275,000.....after foreign exchange, it cost him $258,000 Aussie, so he got it for near on a 100 grand less than what he was prepared to pay for the same type of yacht a year ago. He picked it up from St Petersburgh in Florida yesterday.

    He has invited me to fly over and go for a bit of a sail around the West Indies, and then probably sail back to Aussie. I'm undecided...I'll think about it.

    But then, I am far from being a yacht/bikini babe...

    Anyway girls, he is going to be cruising up and down the East Coast for a while before he heads for the West Indies.

    Wom, is he getting as far North as Boston? You HAVE to let us know if he is - if he's gonna be making port on Cape Cod or Boston, we'd have to go meet him!

    I live exactly 20 minutes from St. Pete in FL. You should have taken the ride with him!! you could have come over and met the FLorida FLock!! I would have stuffed you with pasta before sending you on your sailing way!! And best yet, I sing with Sea Shanty group on Monday nights. . .what could have been more appropriate!!
