What a heartwarming story. Thanks for sharing, Gretchen.

I have read of other dogs in similar situations - with shy and introverted children blossoming when reading to dogs, and their reading skills improving greatly. It's amazing what these 4-legged fur creatures can accomplish.

Awww, what a nice story, and he's such a good boy! I was never shy or one bit introverted, but I talked to my Sheba dog all the time, especially when the other humans around got tired of listening, Sheba never did.

Loved the article. And I can vouch that it works wonders with all kids. We have that reading program once a week at our local library and my dogs took turns being the volunteers, they loved kids so it was great for both myself, my dogs and the kids.
