Sick puppies... HELP!!!! UPDATE: Post #4

Ally and I picked up a litter of six 4 week old Border Collie/Austrailan Shepherds in Northern Manitoba on Wednesday. We are working with a brand new rescue (with experienced volunteers running it), and they have not yet received many donations.

I got the news tonight that 3 of the puppies are at the vet because they have been puking and pooping blood. They are very ill. We aren't sure if it's parvo or not yet.

    Colby

    Brie

    Slice

If any of you have any spare change, I ask that you please help these babies. You can call Southglen Veterinary Hospital at 204-452-0077 to donate. Please make sure you tell them to donation is for Colby, Brie and Slice of Manitoba Mutts Dog Resecue. They are open until midnight (central time).

    THANK YOU!

Poor babies! But remember, parvo is survivable - see Bentley for one good survivor example.

I am sorry I cannot donate but I will pray they make it. I would get them parvo tests at the vet ASAP to make sure that is what it is. Poor little babies.

Definitely. There is lots of parvo and distemper in our city this year.

However... we just received the test results, and they are negative for parvo! They are still very ill, though, but at least it's not parvo.

Oh no! Poor babies! I cannot donate at the moment. I do hope they make it through whatever this illness is! Keep us updated!

The puppies are doing better! Colby was dehydrated when we brought him in to foster care, and he had an infection or some sort. They are being treated and will be better in no time.

Oh that first photo looks like one sad puppy.

I am glad to read that they are doing better. Prayers that they continue to recover and go on to happy lives!
