    Wow what a nice story about Sophie and it must have been fate that her sister was brought back. Im glad they are both together and have such a loving home. Happy DOTD to you sweet girl.

    Sophie.....What a beautiful little lady you are. It doesn't matter what breed
    you are. Let people keep guessing. Glad that you found a wonderful family to love and care for you. Also happy that you have your sister back in your life.

    I love happy endings (and beginnings). Sophie, you are such a sweet looking dog and I bet your personality matches your look. It was a joy to read about your adoption, then your sister Gracie's adoption... and you have a stepsister Lily. What a sweet group of three! It is obvious that you and your sisters are loved and have a wonderful home. I hope all of you will be with your humans for a long time. Congrats on being DOTD!

    Good morning beautiful Miss Sophie! So happy to meet you sweetheart, and a very happy Dog of the Day to you! I hope you're all recovered from your Thanksgiving Day feast!

    What an amazing, heartwarming story your Daddy has shared with us, and your photo spread so beautiful; great photography and utterly heart melting! That's one proud Papa talking, and for good reason! Any family would give great thanks for having been blessed with just one beautiful, bright, loving furkid, one such as you! But how amazing it was that in seeking to find a pup pal for you, he would come upon your sister! Well, I can't imagine why any family would "return" her, ()but their loss was your and your family's great gain; you gain a sister and play pal, and they another precious addition to the pack! It was definitely more than mere chance that led him to you that fateful day...as in MEANT TO BE!

    You're one very special girl, Sophie, and so very worthy of the title, Dog of the Day! I hope you and sisters Gracie are Lily, all are treated to a very happy and fun filled day of celebration, being spoiled to the max, treated to all your hearts desires! Lots of love and cuddles to you precious Sophie, and to sisters Gracie and Lily, too!

    My Sophie...

    Holy cow. Thank you all so much for your kind words. Sophie, Gracie, and Lilly are in a great place and spoiled ROTTEN!! (which is the ONLY way to have a pet.)

    We are so lucky these three dogs came into our lives and the planets were definitely aligned the day we walked in to discover Gracie back at the shelter.

    tatsxx11, you are so right: their loss is our gain. I hate to tell you this but she was mistreated at that house. We don't think she was physically abused, but she was definitely mentally abused. She was scared of me for the first couple of months. I had to gain her trust and she still has trust issues in public....but she's getting better.

    Again, thank you all for your kind words.

    Sophie, what a happy girl you are! I love these photos of you. Your ears look SOooo soft, I just want to reach out and touch them. And that your dear Gracie landed up with you! I am sorry to read that she had a bad time those 6 months you were apart. But I know you have been a big help in letting her see that your mom and dad are polite folks.
