My 10yr old cat Punky has not be eating very well & just seemed to
want to go off by himself to sleep for the last few days. I took him to the
Vet today. The Vet suspects FIP (feline Infectious peritonitis). Took x-rays
of his chest, his body is full of fluid & could barely see the lungs for the
fluid. She tried to drain some of the fluid to test, but was unsucessful.
She sent us home with pills(diuretic) to get rid of as much fluid as possible
to help his breathing. The prognosis is bad, there is no cure.

Will try to make him comfortable as possible & if he seems to improve
any, will try the chest x-rays again in hopes of finding another cause
besides FIP, something operable. (A very long shot) I am devastated.
