Cottage Fall Photos - *New Pics in Post #10 *

    Hi Everyone,

Once again, I've been neglecting my PT time. So busy - still renovating, I'm at a new job and we've been enjoying the cottage property. For those who remember, we'll start to build our cottage next year and we're trying to do most of it off-grid. Lots of research and planning ahead for us!

I went up to the cottage for the Thanksgiving weekend and wanted to share some pics....

Driving up to the cottage....lots of colour.

Many falling leaves, even on the windshield of our car.

    Down by the shoreline....

We took a walk through the woods.....

Another fall season has almost ended.....

Lovely pictures. Colors are just starting down here, so of course we've had rain and wind - more leaves on the ground than in the trees. Sigh.

Just beautiful! I love the fall. I miss it so much. We don't get that in hot Florida. My favorite pic is the one of the pinecone. Will the cottage just be a vacation place or will you move there? Its such a pretty area, would be nice to live there.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Very nice indeed. We've had a lot of rain followed by days of sunshine which I'm told should really bring out the colors in the leaves. Gorgeous day yesterday and today. Thank you for sharing the pix. I love autumn, too, except it brings cold weather w/it.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Beautiful pics. I can tell how much farther north you are, as we are WAY more leaved still, and the colours are just really changing here.

Wow, such beautiful pictures! What a scenery you have there - you must be wanting to drive that route all through autumn.

Thanks everyone! We just came back from the cottage again and I've added some lake pics. This time, we saw bear claw marks on a tree (), two deer ran right in front of our car and we also saw a family of ducks. Quite the 'wild' property we have.

For now, it will be a vacation retreat. We purchased in July and have been clearing the land. We hope to begin to build next spring. After 10 years, we'll see if we still want to stay there and if we do, we'll do the next renovation and eventually retire there.

Where did you stay in Algonquin, Barbara? The colours this year were the best.

Just wanted to update with some lake pics. We purchased a property on a very small lake (only 3 neighbours) and it is a motorless lake all kept very natural.

This is our shoreline - we own everything on the left over to the tallest tree in the middle of the pic.

The people who had the land before us never used it. So, close to 15 years of fallen trees and dead wood we will need to clean up along the shoreline.

Looking back at our shoreline from down the lake.

Here is the other end of the lake, going in towards a marsh.

    Full lake view.
