Our yearly visit to the white coats

Good reports on all the kittehs.

Today was a teacher workday that we could request off, so I did. I saw it as an opportunity to take the crew to the vets with less stress. Since I've lost significant mobility when I broke the hand, corralling the kittehs is no picnic. But I did it.

Sam as usual left most of his orange fur on my pink sports outfit. I'm surprised he still has fur. Spunky uses Lady Jane's soft carrier because she can undo the zippers. He was the last to be caged because his long claws cling to carpet well. It's a wonder I didn't dislocate all of his joints trying to pry him from the carpet. Lady Jane is amiable and calm so I just plopped her in.

Spunky and Lady Jane make the best of any situation so they were wonderful at the vet. Jane is now 10.9 pounds, a far cry from the 5 lbs and very skinny cat I found on my porch last year. I would say she was 20% underweight last year and she has also grown. Spunky has lost weight in the last year now that he has someone (Jane) that likes to carouse like he does. How 20 lbs of cat can sound like a herd of elephants....?

Sam melds with the carrier, clamps his mouth shut, and would cross his legs if he could. I took the top off his carrier for easier access. When I took Jane out, he crawled into hers and tried to shut the door. He's funny about his personal space, so I can't examine him at home.

SO 3 vaccines each and a convenia shot and medrol shot for Sam's stomatitus, plus some checks for bugaboos and stuff (and spunky got his nails clipped), my vet is richer, and hopefully I'm set for the year. Sam may need regular visits for the gum disease to keep it under control, but the other two should be fine.

    Whew!

A job well done! Bet you needed a rest once you were back home, lol.

But the good news makes it all easier to handle.

That reminds me of the days when I would have to round up four or five Found Cats to take to the Vets
It always amazed me that the Found Cats knew who was supposed to go to the vets and they were hiding while the Other Cats were out in the open.
    I wonder how they knew
Thats is Graet News that Spunky ^^ Lady Jane ^^ and Sam are all in Top Shape!!!

Great news, they are all doing so well!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Oh, every day, like how could I ignore such precious critters?

Gary, they "know" a lot. I think they are psychic or read minds.
