    Elpee you are absolutely stunning!!!!

I've never see a bird like you before. I'm so glad your breed is being preserved. It would be so sad not to have your beauty still gracing the world. I hope you and your loving family (human and feathered) are having a wonderfully fun day!!!

Congratulations, sweetie, on being our very special Pet of the Day!!!

Hi Elpee! So very happy to meet you! Oh, what a breathtakingly beautiful bird you are, simply stunning! I don't think I've ever met a parrot with your coloring before, or one with such stunning plumage...and your tail! It's heartbreaking to think of your magnificent species on the brink of extinction! But happily there are those in your beautiful part of the world who are working to save your species! But how lucky your family is, privileged really, to have a captive bred as special as you; so joyful and loving; truly a treasue, just as your Mum says; and hopefully the good work going on, to perpetuate your species, will continue! Just one question...do you really see wild Lorikeets and Cockatoos fly past your window? I can only imagine how special it is, to see such gorgeous feathered creatures in flight, in the wild! Thanks so much to your dear Mum for sharing your glorious self with us all; you really brightened my day, and I learned something too! You truly are a Princess, Elpee, and so very deserving of the title, Pet of the Day! I hope you and your beloved sister Rafferty are both being treated to a very special day of celebration, being treated royally as is only befitting a Princess! Love and gentle cuddles to you precious Elpee, and to Rafferty too! Long and happy life to you both!

Hello, Elpee and happy Pet of the Day! I enjoyed reading about you and seeing your pretty, bright colors today! I agree with Momoffuzzyfaces, I am glad your breed is being preserved. To lose such a beautiful creature would be a shame.

Wild birds are very prolific in our area

Yes, we get many Rainbow Lorikeets and cockatoos in our yard. Every morning we have a couple of hundred rainbows come to the feeder - the noise is unbelieveable! And we have at least 6 sulphur crested cockatoos that come to the feeder just beneath Elpee's window. We get lots of corellas too (you call them BE2s) but we try to discourage them as their local flock is in the thousands and we don't want THAT many in our yard!
