Snowball, you are truly a credit to the species and a most fine specimen of what we lovingly call "BIG WHITE CAT!" We should know, being host to Whitesey (former COTD!), Ashby and Harvey, all solid white males. Nothing can compare to being ready to leave for work in office cloths and getting a lapfull of white cat; it's a labor of love to remove all the evidence with the lint roller. How did you adopt him six years ago if he's only five years old? That's some fancy math you are using! Anyway, he looks like an adorable guy; love the white ones! My neighbor across the street has an all white Snowball also, but yours is really shaped like a snowball, too. He's cute.

Snowball's story is reminiscent of Cleveland Amory's rescue of Polar Bear. Amory too was surprised to discover, after several baths, that he had a white cat. When I found my bedraggled, starving white cat 13 years ago, I thought of Polar Bear and named her Stella, for stella polaris, the polar star.

Thank goodness for people like you who rescue beautiful creatures like Snowball and do what it takes to give them a loving home. It has to be said - tooooo many people in this world obviously do not understand what the the "human" part of "human being" means. So many of the Cat of the Day (and cats at the many many shelters and rescues in this world, and dogs too for that matter) have been subject to negligence, ignorance (voluntary or otherwise), cruelty, cheapness, etc. of supposed "human beings". It is heartbreaking to know but heartwarming to read how so many of us catlovers have saved them from further harm. Depending on where you are, tougher laws need to be demanded of your politicians or this suffering will continue and it is already overwhelming.

Thanks to Snowball's family he is one of the lucky ones - and all of our furry friends should be this lucky.

WOW! This handsome kitty drew an unusual number of responses! He's a beautifully handsome boy, for sure, and as for the sorry state he was in, we found a kitty like that when I was a kid. I believe the Lord has a special place in His Heart for those who love and rescue and then take care of animals who have become unable to care for themselves.
I'm amazed at how white Snowball is but one thing is certain- he is aptly named, for sure.
Snowball, may you have a long, happy, healthy life with your caretaker(s) with lots of good food, warm sunny days in which to galavant around the house and cool, cozy evenings to sleep and recharge for the next day. Your fur looks really soft. I hope your caretaker brushes you on a regular basis, at least a couple of times a week. It appears they already do. I also hope they keep you inside. It's been proven that indoor kitties live considerably longer lives than outdoor kitties.
May the Lord bless you, dear caretaker, for doing what you did for this wonderful kitty. It's obvious he loves you. May the Father hold you close to His heart.

My heart melted the moment I laid eyes on you, dear Snowball! What a beautiful kitty you are, not only in body, but in heart. The expression on your precious face, the love I see in your eyes, speaks to that kind soul your Mommy speaks of that dwells within. Heartfelt thanks to your wonderful family for looking past the weepy eyes, the orange stained tail, to see the beautiful boy that lay within; the one who was just waiting for that perfect forever family to come along, the one who would yes, spiff him up with a comforting bath, and tend to his health needs, but more importantly, the one that would shower him with the unconditional love that would allow his beautiful spirit to shine!
