Randy- it's good to see you back. I am sure the Mango is happy you didn't bring a big kitty- although he might call the serval grandpa
It is so amazing what you all saw- I have read so many books about the discoveries in the Olduvai gorge. I am so happy for you taht it all worked out so wonderfully.
And as you are back- don't forget to look at 2 threads a little bit down the page: Orion has a little sister (who is still separated from him) who has spots like the serval and stripes like the zebra and he also has a thread

Mango and Bubbles had a cat sitter, a friend from out of town who needed to be in Los Angeles for four weeks for work. He stayed with the kitties. Bubbles wasn't happy - she hid for three weeks. Mango was his usual self such that the cat sitter wanted to take Mango home with him. Mr. Friendly!

The trip was incredible. The best vacation in Africa ever. It's amazing to be the one in a "cage" and the animals in the wild going about their lives.

What photos! I love that you gave such descriptions, rather than just "elephant," and "rhino." Makes for very interesting viewing.

What a trip. just fantastic that you were able to go there and see all this. Thank you so much for sharing it with us, I enjoyed those photos.

Some of the birds and a lizard are so very colorful! The other animals, they seem to blend in with the terrain more.

And as Big as these Ctas are , you can see something of their smaller cousins the House Cat in their cattitudes and in their faces.
Thank You so much for those wonderful and in a way touching Photos

    Impressive

Wow, Randy, the vacation photos are outstanding. I enjoyed each and every one. I will never have the opportunity to travel to Africa, but feel as though I have seen much just by looking at your up-close-and-personal photos of YOUR trip. Thank you for sharing them. Interesting.... I shall revisit many times over.... Thanks again. Welcome home, too!

Wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing these with us.

When I was at a cat show I saw several large cats that were half Serval and they're called Savannah's.
