Rainbow, you are beautiful! To the owner, I am so glad you went back and got Sheba. It would have been cruel to keep them apart. Congratulations and a very happy Pet of the Day to you, beautiful Rainbow! Impossibly gorgeous you are Rainbow, in body and in spirit! It's heartbreaking, hearing of your former life, how neglected you were, never knowing the joy of flight, of human interaction, a loving touch. But those sad and lonely days are but a distant memory now, Rainbow. And while you may no longer be able to fly due to the neglect you suffered, you surely can "spread your wings" now sweet Rainbow, literally and figuratively!

I had tears in my eyes, reading how Sheba cried out for you after you two were separated. God bless your dear family for rescuing you and her both; for your Mom's, your special person's amazing dedication in helping you to acclimate to your new life. What an amazing bond of love and trust you two have forged; you have truly found you soul mate in her! As she says, it's amazing how far some time, patience, persistence and a whole lot of unconditional love can go in helping an animal to heal, to learn to love and trust again! What an inspirational, life affirming rescue story is yours!

I loved seeing all your wonderful pictures and reading about you today. I will admit to having a tear or two in my eyes when I read how Sheba cried for you. I had more when I imagined how wonderful your reuniting must have been. I'm so glad your mommy didn't give up on you and you have a loving home and family now. Being in a cage all the time must have been awful. Enjoy your special day to the fullest!!!

Rainbow, what a great story! Sheba knew you two needed the same forever home. I am so sorry about your wing, but I am so happy you now have a very special family who cares about you and enjoys your company so much! Your colors are just beautiful and I looked at all your pictures for a long time. Especially the one of you near the daffodils, just breath taking. Your sweet notes to Rainbow and his lucky Mom (me) have all been a delight to read. Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts and best wishes. This giant bird (a cross between a Blue & Gold macaw and a Greenwing Macaw) is a circus of excitement each and every minute of the day. I can NOT imagine how boring my life would actually be were he not in it. It's been my privilege to have him as part of the family. What a blessing, big beak and all. (And for those of you who wonder what a beak that size feels like when it forgets its power, pinch yourself with a pair of pliers then pinch the same spot again. That's almost close.) Sadly, the way he says "Hello?" after a rare pinch gets him forgiven probably before he should be!
