Hi, Layla in West Allis! You are beautiful! I'd like to serve you a cream puff from the Wisconsin State Fair if I could. I see you with your football, are you a sports fan? Could you please have your people give you some hugs for me? Happy Dog of the Day, Layla!

Hi Layla! I am so happy to hear of your "just in the nick of time rescue" My dog Sunny is a Southern rescue as well. Her mom was pulled out of a high kill shelter in Alabama when she was pregnant and all the pups and even mom found great homes up North. Thanks to all the great people out there doing rescue work

Hello Layla. What a pretty girl that you are, and I can't imagine how you wound up in a shelter to start with. But you were one of the lucky ones because you were rescued and found a furever home, and a wonderful home indeed. I wish that all dogs and cats were as lucky as you.
Enjoy your day today as PT's very special DOTD - a very deserving title for you.

Happy Dog of the Day to you, beautiful Layla girl! Oh, what a happy, happy, happy ending rescue story is yours! Oh yes Layla, we give great thanks to everyone who had a paw in your rescue, giving one most deserving pup a chanced at life, at happiness! And looking at your photos, well, there's no doubting you are one much loved, well cared for, cherished and happy girl! And smart??? I smiled out loud reading how crowds gather when you perform, and how if you had thumbs, you'd be driving! I couldn't agree more with your Mom, Layla! The rewards of rescue are priceless, and you are living proof of that! What a wonderful poster girl, ambassador for doggie adoption you are, and your family, simply the best! Hope you're enjoying your much deserved day in the spotlight, sweet baby girl, being spoiled and loved to pieces! Hugs and smoochies to you beautiful Layla, Dog of the Day!

What a beautiful baby you are. I also have nothing but rescue pets. They make the best. Just look at what Layla can do and the great personality she has. It blows me away that people can give up dogs like this - or any for that matter. But look at the love and happiness she brought her humans. People should definitely adopt from shelters. They make terrific dogs. And kudos to her humans for giving her a chance at life. Live life to the fullest gorgeous.
