Okay - I was just going on what was posted too.

Now his name will be extra long!!

Hoping Jonny's surgery goes well today, and he does well with his heartworm treatment.

Will keep everyone posted tomorrow. He is still wagging his tail. It is a weapon!!! He knocks things over with that tail!!!!!!!
He jumped up on our treatment supervisor, Matt Proctor this afternoon. He is also in our treatment room 2, which is less critical than treatment room 1 where he has been staying.
That makes a loud statement on how he is feeling.... he is feeling so much better!! Wagging that tail and jumping up on people. I bet he is just to frisky now, raring to go and run, run, run!! He has what? 2 weeks of energy stored up? That surgery on his jaw has made all the difference in how he looks and feels. I just hope he won't be so excited when he gets back to his neighborhood & people that he hurts himself! What a day of joy that will be for his people and his kids! LOL! He will be SO excited!!

Me too! Jonny, you have a national fan club

Thank you again, Kevlin for keeping this thread updated and for the new estimate on the finances.

And tatsxxx11, I would LOVE to travel for Doctors Without Borders. They mostly want nurses with critical care, surgical, ED experience which I don't have, and people who can go with their teams for 2 to 4 weeks (or longer)- which right now I can't. But I hope to work with DWB or Remote Area Medical in Appalachia.

I don't think a separate thread is necessary to tell folks we still need donations, as most everyone looks to this one already, and this is the thread people have posted on Facebook and news sites.

Trish, thanks so much for the update, and Jonny, I hope your surgery goes flawlessly today!

I just read through this whole thread and I went from disgusted, to pissed, to hopeful to down right happy. JW's story isn't an easy one but he certainly is loved.

Excellent, glad to hear everything went well - surgery is always a worry, even routine stuff. I am glad they are starting the heartworm and parasites. Do they have a guess at Jonny's age? The heartworm can't be too bad given his energy level now, and the lethal nature of his tail!

Our Gracie the Great Dane had a similarly lethal tail - we used to joke that it was not connected to her brain at all, because she seemed to have no clue when it was banging against someone or something when she was excited!

I havn't read through all the pages yet but I hope that little b*stard gets whats coming.
I will cross post this through fb since I have a lot of rescue friends .

Who is going to take Johnny after?
Surely he will need to stay somewhere to get better and if he's got beaten before I would want to see him being safe somewhere.

Karen Dr. Kergosien was going to try and get that for us today. He told us yesterday that he was going to get one of the other Dr's to check for us today.

How wonderful that Jonny's Surgery went well! He'll be wagging tail even more when he has finished all his treatments. What a boy!

I have been wondering about his age, too? Does anyone know or have an estimate?

Fister and I are keeping paws and fingers crossed for dear Jonny!

I know the thread is long, but I am so glad Jonny is doing well, and thanks, buttercup - the more people who hear about this, the better!

Yes, the perpetrators have been charged, and the justice system will hopefully prevail. And yup, Jonny will be an inside doggy - maybe alternating between his three families!
