UPDATE: Remy gets her "big girl" surgery today

My fiance's little orange girl Remy is at the Humane Society today for her spay surgery. Hopefully there will be no more of this: http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=161958. Prayers not required, but appreciated.

    The little devil!!!

My fiance picked up Remy from the Humane Society this afternoon and took her home. The moment he opened the carrier, she darted out to the deck and went strolling on the railing--three stories up --showing off her cute blue e-collar. It took him 45 minutes to catch her and get her into the "recovery room" (aka the front bathroom).

When I got in from choir rehearsal and visited her, she was a bit unsteady on her feet, but had managed to get her collar off.

    She's gonna be fine.

I know Remy is a cat but I had to repost this poem from when my Sunny got spayed. Appropriate for a cat too (except for the howling)

    ODE TO MY UTERUS:

I haven't known you very long, I'm really still a pup. We won't let you get full grown, your breeding days are up.

So many doggies need good homes; it really is so sad. Mom says to bring more pups would be really really bad.

I won't have to suffer Heat and have howling at my door. I get to be a spoiled pup and won't act like a whore.
