Stranded whale clings to life

It's really sad. At first they thought it could be saved, but it's on very low water and they haven't been able to get it to swim out. As of this afternoon, the whale is still breathing, but they are now considering putting it out of it's misery.

This is very sad. . .

But I need to share something a little bit spooky with you all. I dreamed about this last night before even seeing this post today. In my dream, the whale was stranded in shallow water, and it looked very much like the pictures I have now researched of the finbacked whale. I have never seen a finbacked whale before. There were scientists in a boat with a huge cage that was like a suitcase and they were trying to slip the bottom of it beneath the whale - then they were going to close the top and tow the whale back out into the deep ocean, but they couldn't make it work. Each time they tried, either the whale moved or big waves came and pushed the cage out of position.

Now here's the part that has a personal message for me, although I'm not entirely sure what it is yet. . .
I was in the water with several people (I knew who they were in the dream, but I don't remember now) trying to assist with the process. But each time the big waves occurred, it would push us closer to shore and away from the whale. Finally, the biggest wave came and deposited us on the shore, which happened to be the sidewalk in front of the house I grew up in!

That's sad. I have seen finback whales off the Massachusetts coast, they are such huge, magnificent creatures, and just seem to go on and on forever when they pass. I wonder if it is sick, and that's why its internal compass is broken?

During high tide, the whale had started to swim, but in the wrong direction. - just like yesterday.

I will be following what happens on the news and let you know. Poor whale!
