    Dancing with the Stars...

I am not a regular viewer .....but I find it interesting that Kate, who claims her kids come first, is going to do this......It takes a lot of time!!!!! My nephew used to work for an aquarium place, and he would go out to homes and clean aquariums. Well, when Emmitt Smith was involved with Dancing With the Stars, Nick, my nephew, went to his house to do his regular aquarium service. Emmitt's little boy just latched onto Nick....he said his daddy was never home. Nick stayed and played video games with him because he felt so sorry for him. Emmitt's little boy cried when Nick left. So, is she gonna lug all 8 kids and the nanny with her to wherever they rehearse and film? Sheesh.....That show is very time consuming.....I guess she is trying to get herself back into the media limelight...

I just read where she is supposed to do her practicing near her home in PA - because afterall - her kids come first! I wonder how she pulls that off? Is her partner coming to PA???

I think Dancing is starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

    Can Octomom be far behind?

You know, I actually liked their show and was sad to see how it blew up. But I must agree. I thought the same thing. She's going to be away from the kids a lot. I guess Jon could take this as an advantage overall.
But I have a feeling she won't last long on the show anyway.
Oh, and yes, she wants to be back in the spotlight. She even said on the last show of Jon & Kate Plus 8 that she wanted to do something in television. Like host her own talk show or something. So this is just her way to get back into it.
Plus, I'm sure the network is thinking she will pull in viewers for the drama.
It seems to me that this show is turning into Dancing with the non-stars. Shannen Doherty? Pam Anderson....really. What has she done lately??

    But I'll still watch it.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Yep, I'll be watching it too. Kate is such a perfectionist and has unreasonable expectations of herself and others -- not to mention all the phobias she seems to have..... Even if she does a great job, I don't think she has enough "fans" to keep her on very long.

Does anyone know if they pay these people anything or is this something D-list celebs do to get publicity?

I don't really see how it's so different from any of the other moms who have been on the show, besides the number of kids she has. Maybe that she's divorced makes a difference? Brooke Burke comes to mind, she has something like four young children. I don't personally like the show as much as I used to, and I have never liked Kate gosselin, so I don't know that I'll watch this season. Maybe it'll do her some good to dance, sometimes it helps people with some of their "issues." I don't think it's fair and it's definitely a double standard to question whether she should do it and not any of the other moms or dads that have been and will be on the show.

I think it's a good move for her. Every working mother leaves their kids (to some extent) in the care of others. I don't think she could have a regular job. Maybe she'll go back to nursing some day but until then she can get a bigger paycheck cashing in on her "fame".

Besides, she probably can't afford wait for Jon to start earning a paycheck. I don't think they pay home porn movie makers very much.

    LOLOLOLOLOL,

IF KG had to go to a nudie bar and dance to support her kids, most of us would say, GOOD FOR HER!

In essence? She doing the same thing. Shame on her for not going nude, she would make more money and not have to work as hard?

    ------------

I'll watch just to see her berate the guy she's teamed with. KG is a selfish shrew that deserve scorn and should have 75% of her kid to grow up maladjusted.
It's only fair because of what her and her husband did to their family.

    Morons, all of them!

Wow I just looked at the cast! I may watch just for Evan lysacek. But Chad ochocinco makes me ill. And buzz aldrin? Shannen doherty? Pam Anderson? Should be a nice mess haha.

I heard her on ET or Extra tonight that they will practice in her basement when kids are home from school. Yep, that will work perfect NOT (kids in and out bugging them).

During school hours they will go to a dance studio nearby. She will fly back and forth for actual show.

Yep they get paid $200,000 (doesnt matter when they get booted off). Yep she is doing it for the money. Here's the link to payments http://www.imnotobsessed.com/2009/03...aries-revealed

The men: Buzz Aldrin, Evan Lysacek, Chad Ochocinco, Jake Pavelka, Aiden Turner
The women: Pamela Anderson, Erin Andrews, Shannen Doherty, Kate Gosselin, Niecy Nash, Nicole Scherzinger

I can't see Tony Dovolani agreeing to rehearse in Kate's basement. My two cents are on Evan Lysacek.

Half of them could be booted off without being missed - IMO.

The best - Erin Andrews, Nicole Scherzinger, Evan Lysacek - again, IMO.
