    Mardi Gras Thursday #366!

    DUDE!

We missed the 7th anniversary of Thursdays!!! It was #364!!!!

    Happy Anniversary!!

    ----------

I think we can combine a late celebration wit this weeks theme!

    Hurricane, New Orleans Style

    1 oz white rum
    1 oz Jamaican dark rum
    1 oz Bacardi® 151 rum
    3 oz orange juice
    3 oz unsweetened pineapple juice
    1/2 oz grenadine syrup
    crushed ice

Combine all ingredients, mix well (shake or stir). Pour over crushed ice in hurricane glass. Best enjoyed through a small straw. Garnish with fruit wedge if desired.

We also can do some Jambalaya, dirty rice and ????

    DONE!

Ummmm, Barkeep, before we invite any nawlins style hurricanes into the bar, maybe someone should check the flood wall?

Dirty rice sounds good to me. I've never had it or knew what made it "dirty".

I just boiled up a container of chicken livers to add to the pup's dinner. Now I guess I can call the mixture "dirty dog food".

I love the liver but I'll pass on the gizzards. Saute livers with onions and green peppers - deelish!!!

Oh a Mardi Gras. I've always wanted to attend one. I'll have to go and make up a costume but from what I hear maybe I should wear nothing at all?????

I DOTD please Richard and some of that there dirty rice with crawfish. MMMMM, that should go down good. Do we have to pick the heads off the crawfish??? I might be inclined to toss them at the nearest target. No gizzards for me.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Happy Anniversary, Thursdays! In honor of the Mardi Gras theme I brought some beignets.

To fulfill my "contribute a joke at THursdays" requirement, some Olympic humor from Chet Haase...
Q: Why isn't suntanning an Olympic sport?
A: Because the best you can ever get is bronze.

    I wonder:
Do gymnasts get tipsy from uneven bars?
    Is archery an 'arrowing experience?
When men and women compete against each other in an equestrian event, is that called cross-dressage?
Are the losers in fencing foiled?
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.

I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

I don't know if I have the strength for Mardi Gras-type celebration after being sick for the past week. I think I'd like the DOTD and a shrimp po' boy, then I can just sit back and watch while I enjoy my munch!!
