    Lillycat's Washy, Rest in Peace

Lillycat's buff coloured tabby, Washington, aka, Washy, needs your prayers most desparately. After a trip to the vet on Friday, where he actually contorted straining, the vet told us she saw a tumor on xray, in his colon. He was blocked, and the tumor was putting pressure on his colon. She called and got him in to the specialist today, Tuesday.

Sadly, the internist told us that it is 95% cancer, either of the colon or of the lymph nodes. This was done by US, and a aspirate sample was sent off to determine the type. If lymph, then probably chemo will be the course. If colon, then surgery will most likely be the course. It is in a "tricky" spot, according to the vet, between his hip bones. RT is simply not an option because of the location. There are problems with the surgery if it is colon cancer, it will be difficult to get clean margins on the back side of the colon.

Life is cruel, and there just are no words to express to Lillycat that comforts her now. She just lost Nevvie. Not even a week ago. It is so unfair, to the kitties and to her. These kitties were/are 9 years old!!!

I will update when we get the results back, possibly as early as Thursday night. But, really, either set of results are undesirable. Who can actually hope it is one type over another?

Prayers, please, for Washy and Lillycat.

How horrible! I HOPE that this turns out to be treatable! Poor Lillycat and Washy!

I wonder if her vet knows about transfer factor and can get it for her.

    Prayers going out.

Catty, I read up on Transfer Factor, through one of the link's you posted. Thank you. I will talk to Lillycat and the vet about this.

On a side note, I was so sad to read about Hamish.

I will be saying some prays for you and your baby. It's never easy at any age, I lost my Anika when she was only 8 yrs old. I wish I would of known for sure what and where she had it but it doesn't matter now, she's at peace and I will see her again someday. Sorry I'm never very good about these things, but I will just pray for you and her and hope that everything turns out for the best.

    Hugs,
    melissa

Oh, no. I'm so sorry to hear this. It truly is entirely unfair. I hope the vets can come up with an effective treatment.

Washy's needle aspirate came back inconclusive. The vet still says it is cancer, she just doesn't know what kind.

So, on Monday, Washy goes to the surgical consult in the am, and surgery in the afternoon.

Prayers please for Washy, Lillycat and the surgeon.

More prayers for Lillycat and Washy! And prayers for the surgeon...a good discernment here could really make the difference. She is so young yet.

I'm sorry to hear that Washy will now need to have surgery to find out what kind of cancer it is. Lots more prayers are being sent to Washy and Lilycat. I hope it can be easily treated.

I'm so sorry- that is just as it was with Tigris- the surgery was needed to find out what it was
Lillycat- please give Washy a lot of cuddles this weekend from me.
