Early this morning, before the sun was rising ...

... this is what I saw when I stumbled half-asleep from my bedroom into the living room (please forgive the bad photo quality, just grabbed the camera and had no time to set the flash).

Bob then moved from his station by my bedroom door and went in his crate. Miss Ebby was not impressed.

btw, that crate pad is atop the crate for practical reasons, snow, & now rain, makes for very muddy paws. I'll put it back when the weather shows signs of drying somewhat.

Yup, cats just LOVE to be up, Up, UP! He hee. Miss Ebby thought that pad was put UP just for her use.

She just didn't realize it came with a lower audience!

Well, OF COURSE the pad was put up there for Miss Ebby's use! There could be no other explanation!

Aww, precious Ebby and Bob!! Looking at these photos, I would come to the conclusion that the pad was there for Ebby to rest on. Please ask your mom to give you some hugs and snuggles from me!

Cute pictures. So is this the closest that Ebby has been to Bob?

Ebby, to me it looks like the pad was put there so you could be comfortable and at the same time keep an eye on Bob. You're doing a good job!

Now the question is - is Ebby going to try to close the door on Bob's crate and shut him in?

No, not really, they often lie quite close to each other. Ebby likes a certain amount of space between them if they are on the same level but she doesn't mind Bob being a little closer if she is on the sofa and he is on the floor. However I doubt very much if you will ever see a photo of them cuddling.

I'm sure it is something she would love to do if only she could.

    Aw, how cute!

Whenever I have a pen or crate set up, for whatever reason, I always put blankets and/or cushions/pillows/beds of some sort on top. The cats just love to be up on them.
