If I missed the race and somebody told me Jamie won, I'd punch them in the mouth and call them a damn liar. McMurray? Whodathunkit? Somebody needs to pull his Man Card for crying on TV though. But, it's not like he had a firm grip on that card to begin with
I will admit that I'm among those men, and there are many, that cry during an emotional time. As young boys we are conditioned to repress our emotion because it's not manly. When I was very young my father would spank me and with every swat, I would hear "Hush" because I was crying. I never understood why he was saying hush, until in his latter days admitted he had always been emotional and would cry during emotional times. He did not want me to be a crier like he was. In spite of all the conditioning I find I tear up at emotional times. I would probable blubber like McMurray if I won Daytona. I have known men that pride themselves for never crying. I really feel sorry for them because they are so repressed they also have a hard time being intimate. I find the older I get the more I realize that it is not unmanly to cry.

In the same vain I was always taught men do not embrace (hug) when greeting or saying good bye, they only shake hands. I ran away from home at 17 because of a conflict with my father, who never showed any emotion toward me. When we reconciled when I was 22 I hugged him and continued that practice until his death when I was 42. I taught my son that embracing another man is not unmanly. In my old age I realize those emotions that were repressed did more damage than good.

I'm thrilled he won!!! He is almost a local boy here. He's from our four-state area. His home town is not far from here.

Hey, stronger men than he, have bawled like a baby at winning Daytona!!!

No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

I do think it is a little ironic they spent all weekend focusing on Carl's wife and if she was going to have the baby and what he was going to do....but it was Elliot Sadler's wife that had their baby this morning.

Congrats to Elliot and Amanda on the birth of their son, Wyatt.

The local sports talking heads were laughing about the pot hole.

One made a joke about it being smaller than the kind we find on our
    freeways.

I cry when I watch cooking shows.

    Onions do that to me.

I don't trust any man who don't cry.

You can never tell when to stop hitting him.

No, there's no problem there.....just make sure you have hankies handy for him.

    Isn't that a gas?

I loved the different kinds of cars on the course at the same time.

Richard, I want to say thank you for addicting me to that silly show Madhouse! Why does it have to be on at 11 pm on Sunday night? It is nice, can I can watch it when I get home from soccer, but not going to bed until midnight may not be the best start to my week!!!

All my guys had Top 20 finishes this weekend...first time this season that has happened! What a great start to the year for Joey Logano!!!

Don't blame me, I don't control the remote in YOUR house!

It replays during the week sometime.

We used to have a 1/3 mile track where Ron Hornaday used to race-Saugus Speedway.

I was into Off Road Racing-Jimmie Johnson sound familiar?-and started to go to SS just to see people go in circles!!

THAT is what started me to appreciate asphalt racing. Especially when the BIG shows would come to town.

Before they started the truck series, NASCAR put on a exhibition tour to see how well people would accept truck racing....

P.J. Jones and two other drivers did the race. Jones stuffed his ride into the fence, backwards, almost in front of us. He drove away with the bed of the truck pushed in to almost the back axle! I really got hooked after that.

I'd rather go to a small track than a super speedway.

Don't tell me who you root for on MH.

LOL, I just read about a pothole that opened up on the 101 freeway.

It popped about 20 tires before the Highway Patrol closed all lanes for 5 hours while
    the fixed it.

Since the Rat Race is still going on, there is no winner yet.

Did you notice the three legged dog one of the drivers owned?

I only know who Junior Miller is, He is such an a-wipe and a moron that I can't help but like him.

My brother turned me on to the show. He's more of a NASCAR fan than I am.
