Graveyard pictures - not melancholic, but colorful!

I attended a funeral today, and while I was standing there at the open grave during the ceremony, I noticed how beautiful and peaceful the cemetery was looking today, the colors and the light was overwhelming. So I decided to come back with my camera later today, and I did. Here are some pics:

Beautiful colors and you captured them well. It looks a lot like "my" churchyard. Isn't it just wonderful to walk places like that!

Those are wonderful pictures! Yet, they're of the graveyard, but it just shows a sense of peace and tranquility, that's what I feel when I look at these pictures..

I love the one photo, you can see the one leave that was falling while you took the pic.

    Great camera.

Oh my gosh, Kirsten, what a beautiful resting place. The first pic is just breathtaking. You captured the essence of it all, truly.

You've really got a knack with that camera. What a wonderful resting place, it looks so serene and the colours are so beautiful.

    Thanks a lot!

It's true, it's really a beautiful place, very peaceful. It's not very far from where I live, and sometimes I go there for a walk. BTW, the stones in these photos are very old, they are memorial stones from soldiers who died in WW1, almost 100 years ago.

I am surprised to see how nice your weather still is- here it is permagloom now which wouldn't allow the colours to show their light.

Well, we still have our sunny moments here, but meanwhile, most of the leaves have fallen down. The photos were taken on Tuesday, the day of my landlord's funeral.
