Ha Ha!!! I'm assuming that if it is used to add "fish flavor" to your cooking, it will probably be pretty fishy smelling too!! Who in the world would want to make something smell fishy????

    SPEAKING OF CLAMS....
How do they know clams are happy? as in 'Happy as a clam?' I've never seen one I could tell if it was happy or not.

    By the way:
I have 4 cats who would like to eat er meet all of you fishie critters who are offended by this thread. They offer an open invatation to dine with them at the meal of your choice.

Well, now you have done it! You made me look that up on Google......and here is what it says............

The original quotation is from Colonial times and it read.........

"Happy as a clam at high tide." Eventually the "high tide" part was dropped. Guess they were happy because they couldn't be caught at high tide.

And however kind your invitation might be.......Clayton Clam will not be coming over for dinner! But Charlie Tuna just doesn't get it and he will probably show up!

Thanks for the clam info. I always wondered about that....

Charlie Tuna is welcome anytime. He and his family are big favorites here.

    Hey Cinder and Smoke,

Dad may have turned a funny green when looking at Randi's picture because the black things in the bowl are actually mussels and the things on the table are oysters (and they look raw).

The mussels are yummy, but it was probably a good thing he turned green with the oysters

But all you fishy friends are more than welcome to come for supper with me and Mom
