Poor sweetie, I'm sorry you had to go through putting down one of your best friends. It's never ever easy. She will rest in peace though, now.

I'm so sorry you had to do this; it's just so hard anytime, but especially now for you. You gave Sasha one last wonderful memory, after a lifetime of them, and I know she loves you and appreciates all you've done.

RIP, dear loved Sasha, and Peace to your Mom Gayle.

I am so very sorry I'm just now seeing this. No words can take the pain away. Just know that a lot of us know how you feel. Sasha knew how much you loved her. And your heart will always carry her there.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Oh my, sweet Michelle at the vets office just called to let me know Sasha's ashes have been returned to them and I can pick them up. I told her I'd be there tomorrow on my way home, I need to psyche up for this. It's almost harder than the first part of the process. It's so final. More tears.

Try to think of it as bringing her home with you...feel her spirit with you.

Picked up her urn. Got a card from sweet Michelle. She's onto a new life to and leaving town. We will miss her at the vets. In all, a very sad occassion, with tears free flowing. I will photo the urn tomorrow in the daylight. My baby girl is home now.

I'm glad she is home with you. Sadie is home too - her urn in a bag next to me as I type. I'm not sure where I'll keep it - in my bedroom for now. I'm not even sure how I feel - still pretty numb I guess.
