The hockey player of the same name has passed. IIRC he played for the Maple Leafs.

I have to say that may God rest his soul.

I think there are two ways to look at TK and his life.

    At the moment?

You have to respect his life and passing.

His sins we can discuss in the Dog House?

I didn't realize he had been a Senator for over 45 years. I also forgot that he went for the Presidency in 1980. RIP, Sen. Kennedy.

Thank you. I know he was too ill to attend his sister's funeral RIP Uncle Teddy. Hope you and your family are enjoying a happy family reunion.

What a sad day...Dominick Dunne died too. A fascinating man and a terrific writer. His path crossed with the Kennedys on occasion!

Oh, I'm sorry to learn that Dominick Dunne has passed away too now. What a fabulous writer.

I'd just been thinking in the last couple of days, what with all the Ted Kennedy news, that I need to reread "A Season in Purgatory."
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I was very pleased to see that the family o.k.ed and took the time to stop by the front of the senate building to give the people that worked with him the chance to say good-bye.

What a great show of respect.

I do live in a pretty cool country.

What a very long, sad, and stressful day for the entire family, but as always, they have handled it with grace and dignity.
Sad to say, they have had to do this way too many times.

Very true Ellie. I have watched, along with the rest of the country, as we have now said goodbye to John, Robert and now Teddy. I thought today's events were beautiful and, as you said, handled with grace and dignity.

We watched the whole thing today, it reminded me so much of when I spent the day glued to the t/v after John and Bobby's passings so many years ago. So much tragedy for one family.

It's way too bad that some of the history and folklore of the Kennedy's, the government and the Arlington Cemetery only gets told on days like today.

Is it me or was it a nice touch that the lightning in the background was a little punctuation to the ceremony?

Also, I think it was just that the ceremony ended in darkness. No TV shots of the family leaving, let them have a moment.

You saw the lightning too? A nice touch from the heavens.

I read a nice letter from HSUS on his passing.
