    Unusual cat breeds/colors

This is more of a breeding question than a breed question. We have a new kitten, and the vet said he had never seen the color before Runt is black pointed with a dark silver-tipped coat(so far); he's only six weeks old I was wondering what genetic combination had to occur for this to happen. Of course, he may be a mutant

    Here's some pics:

    Wait, then see.

It is not un-common for New Borns to have a odd looking coats that change slightly as they mature. It will be interesting to see if the ticking comes in more dominant. That will make him even more beatiful.

He's adorable. The ticking though, will probably grow out. He'll be a solid black.

Runt's ticking didn't start showing up until he got older. He was born kinda bald. His sisters are all black with a little white spot on their tummies He had a brother, Job(RB), was born silver with a blue stripe down his back. We hope Runt keeps his ticking as well I've always found color genetics fascinating, and I often play with color ideas in my head.

Runt is not a mutant Runt is the CATITUDE KITTY!

I think you need to wait a bit too, that coloring could really change in a short time, so you don't know how much (if any) more color will surface. Keep the pics coming!!
