Hello to all. I hope this finds you well.

My name is William, used to be a Cat H8R. But then I actually had to live with one, I learned quickly that it is impossible to Hate anything that cute and loving for any length of time. I am glad there is a networking site to help answer questions. If I say anything insensative or just down right stupid please tell me so I can learn to be better. Thanks.

Welcome to Pet Talk. I am glad you have learned that kitties can be your friend! Sadly, as much as I love them, I am allergic to them, so must admire them from a distance.

My name is Karen, I am one of the moderators here.

WELCOME!! You are one of those people I can use as an example to all wanna-be cat H8R's......just let a cat crawl into your heart and you'll be hooked. (um, some of us more than others )

Hope you share your cats stories and pictures with us.

    Karen.

Not to sound silly but have you been around Pixies or Highland Lynx? If not I recomend you try they have something different that does not cause alergic reactions from some people that are alergic to cats. I know that sounds like a load of poop but I have seen it with my own (non-watering) eyes. My brother is horribly alergic to cats however, when he met my Loki (R.I.P.) a Highland Lynx. He had no reaction what-so-ever. Maybe you give them a try.

I have only met one cat, since I became allergic to them at age 12, to which I did not react - he was a black domestic shorthair, and I had no reaction to him, but he was only at our apartment for a few days. I know some kinds of cats have dense enough fur so the dander doesn't escape as much. For now, though, I'll just admire them from afar, as I do like breathing!
