    Cathy

It has been a couple of weeks, but I am only just now able to talk about it. Cathy was one of the many wanton waifs I have found homeless and abandoned in the swamps of the Tuscumbia River bottom near where I live.

She was a bright and happy little girl. She loved her daddy, and she wore way too much mascara. But I loved her anyway.

She is at the bridge now. She was loved. She still is loved. She will never be forgotten. She will always be missed.

Randi has been kind enough to replace her picture in my siggy with the newest addition to Willow Oak. His name is Grainger. Ironically enough, I found him within mere feet of the exact same spot where I found Cathy. He too, was left abandoned and unwanted. He has found a home at Willow Oak.

Grainger is such a silly billy ...

Dan, I know it was hard for you to replace Cathy with Grainger, and I'm so very sorry you have lost her. She seemed such a sweet and adventurous little girl. She will stay forever in your heart and never be forgotten, and I hope the good memories with her will lessen your pain.

    My deepest sympahy.

    Rest in Peace, sweet Cathy!

I'm very sorry Willow. Cathy looks so sweet. Only time, and a lot of it, will heal your pain.
Have fun at the Bridge Cathy.

Sounds to me like Grainger was in that exact spot for a reason.
I remember seeing Cathy in other pictures you've posted. She was such a cutie.

    RIP Cathy

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

What is it thaye say? "The eyes are the window to the soul"? Cathy's eyes say it all. They are indescribable. Thanks, sweet dear Willow, for rescuing and taking such loving care of Cathy. How beautiful and amazing that Grainger came into your life at the perfect time. May a gazillion blessings be bestowed upon all of you.

Rest in peace, pretty girl. You left your beagle prints on daddy's heart and all over Willow Oak. Have fun with all the joyful sniffs you'll find there at the Rainbow Bridge!

It must be so very hard for you with all the animals you save. You have a very kind heart and I know every one that crosses your path knows they were loved. So sorry for your loss.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
