    Irresponsible breeders!!!

This is not one of the most heart breaking stories but it is nevetheless sad. This person was breeding dogs for years and when he was told to upgrade his facility to meet requirements he chose to give the dogs to the SPCA! They are going to be overwhelmed and above capacity.

Well, that's one less puppy mill out of business . I hope they gave the man
a fine to pay for the heath issues the dogs had. It is sad, but you hear of
more cases like this all the time.

    Quote from the article...

"Stryker said the agency had to euthanize one of the dogs. It was old, had problems with its legs and "was snippy," she said."

This poor dog must have been suffering for a long while from living on
wire cage. I'd be "snippy" too.

Well, at least they have a chance. A puppy miller who was a member of an Amish community was told the same thing - and he shot all the dogs.

At least these pups have a chance.

Yes, I agree, thank goodness. One down, thousands to go. I wish every one of these scumbags would be given the same ultimatum!

And I think even a smallish shelter can handle a lot of small dogs at once. Large dogs are harder, of course, due to space requirements. We once took 67 dogs all at once, from a hoarder. It was a lot of work, but they got adopted fairly quickly, due to the publicity.
