Pictures of Our Scruff!

I figured it has been a while since I have posted pictures of our boy Scruff. I can not believe he is going to be 5 yrs old in August! My little boy is all grown up!! The really cool thing is that our new vet (well, for the last 2 yrs) said that Scruff is NOT a Dalmatian/Pit Bull Mix. She said he looks more like a Great Dane/Pointer mix with possibly some Pit Bull in hime....but she does not see Dalmatian. She said that the Harlequin Great Dane has spots just like Scruff's....which I knew, but did not even think that he could be a mix of one. As he got bigger I did notice his face was looking more like a GD, but Dave said "No way....he is a pittie mix"...so I just said "okay, whatever". At least I prooved to be right!

In this picture I can totally see the Great Dane in Scruff!

I went through some boxes not that long ago and found these.

Here is Scruff as a pup on 12/23/04, and one of him today....well, yesterday.

He was a rather Vocal pup!! That really has not changed much. He still LOVES to talk back to me....just one of the kids, I say!

I have to say these are a few of my favorite favorite pictures of him....

I love the way the sun is shining on him and he is so oblivious of me snapping the camera....he's too busy watching one of the rescue kits play!!

And then he looks.....to know what he is thinking....he looks so wise!!

Sleepy Scruff...in one of his favorite spots.

Scruff and his "FAVORITE" human, Austin! You see, Scruff is not our dog...he's Austin's dog.

Scruff sleeps with Austin every night and when Austin's spends the night at a friend's or family member's house.....Scruff paces in front of his room and whines....Scruff is lost with out his "boy"! I just took this picture a few minutes ago....as you can tell, Austin is a HUGE wrestling fan.....I sure am not!

Scruff is great...he shares his bed, toys, and sometimes treats with the rescued kittens!! He is "Papa Scruff" to all the rescue babies!

Scruff is so handsome. I do see some Dane in him... he has the smooshiest face ever!!!

Oh, I love Scruff. His coloring and several of his "poses" remind me so much of Snoopy! Are yu sure there is no Dalmation in him? The way he is laying and his attachment to your son (one person) reminds me SOOO much of Snoopy. His head definitely though shows Great Dane. Christy has Dakota who is a Harlequinn great Dane and that is the way her head is shaped too. Happy Birthday, Scruff and thanks for the pictures.

AWWW! Scruff sure is adorable.. whatever he is! I can see the Great dane.. and Pointer too. The howling picture makes his mouth look Pit-like to me. I dont really see too much Dalmatian in him.. Other than the obvious b/w colors.. My Dal looked nothing like him.. Except for the paw crossing picture. lol She did that a lot, but so do other dogs, like our Miss Priss.

The picture of him with all the baby kitties is just precious!

Scruff, whether you are a Dane or a Dalmatian doesn't matter to me - I just think you are a sweet guardian to your boy and the kitties! *Mmmuwah!*

Awwwww!!!! Hi Scruff. You are a very big handsome man. We love that solid jaw and giant pawsies. We think you need some kisses. Please tell Mama to give you tons of kisses from us today because we think you're so cool and cute. Love, Daisy and Delilah
