4 to 5 WEEKS!!! WHAT on earth is he doing off on his own???

I agree with some one's suggestion, if a mom dog with a litter could foster him for a few weeks. Did the vet give you any ideas for feeding? Or will you keep with what you found worked?

Oh so tiny, what a love! Give snuggles from me, please!

Awww, poor baby. So glad you saved him.
Maybe he was meant to be with you.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

I gave my contact info to the 2 vets here in my town (including my own), and to the local dog pound.. I also gave Wal-mart my contact info in case the person came back in looking for the pup. We also have local on-line classifieds and I put him on there.

I asked my vet about giving him the canned food and the puppy formula. She said if he was eating it, she didn't see any reason to change it up. Just the main thing to do is to make sure he does eat, because pups his size can have problems with their blood sugar. Which I already knew because our chihuahua only weighed 10 oz. when we got him at 6 weeks.

This little man weighed 16.03 oz. which is just barely a pound.

Oh, goodness he is adorable! Thank goodness you paid attention and found him! I hope if he belonged to someone they see your notices - he is way to young to be on his own! Thank you for rescuing him!

I agree Chi/Yorkie, his coat is much too smooth to be pure bred.
I can't beileve he is out that young, maybe a momma that lives outside or stray had pups and he wondered off.

Poor widdle fella. Out in the world all alone. I am so happy you came along, Cori. He is the tiniest little baby. I love him!! I would love to have him.

thats what we did with abandoned heeler pups at the shelter where I volunteer. I hope he makes out okay and he could be all yorkie, his hair just needs to grow out. look at Rudy he was barely shaggy and now he's a shaggy pup! but I don;t think he has yorkie in him. It's a good thing you found this boy!

OH! I can't STAND it, have you named him yet? I mean, you've had him over 24 hours, you have to be calling him SOMETHING! (It is a male, right?)

And . . . is it even possible you can keep him, if no one claims him?

Not that I'm pushy or anything.

WOW!! Ok your that pups hero!
I am so glad you found him!

I would totally take him If I were closer.. Dangit..
Well I hope you can either keep him, or find him a loving home.. I think you should def keep him untill he's 8-12 weeks before giving him away.. It might stress him out to go thro so many environmental changes, he is so young.. Much to young to be out there all alone, thats for sure.. I wonder who he belonged to originally?? So odd to see a small breed dog, so young, out there in public all alone!!!

    Have you named him yet?
Maybe we could all figure out a name together

    I like Sparky
The pup is a male right?

    Re: the Name >>>

    "Wally" would be very appropriate!
