Out with the old... in with the new!

    Furniture that is!!

    Old love seat:

    Old sofa:

As you can see my old stuff was Buddy and Sierra approved! (over and over and over again)

    Here's the new stuff!
And NO... they are NOT allowed on the new stuff! But they sneak up on it at night, I feel for warm spots in the morning and always find at least one!

That is very nice stuff you got there!!
I love the chaise lounge part of it (or whatever its called). That's my favorite seat in my house. And we have a blanket over that seat so the dogs are allowed up there with me. But they are not allowed on the rest of the couch.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

    Looks comfy!

We always allowed our dog on the couch, but when Grandma moved in with us after Grandpa died, she barely thought a dog should be allowed in the house, ever mind on the furniture. She only ever saw Sheba on the couch once - afterwards, Sheba could seem sound asleep, but when Grandma approached the room, she'd get off and curl back up on the floor. Grandma may have often found a warm, dog-shaped spot with black shepherd fur on it on the couch, but she never caught her ever again!

Oh Buddy touched my recliner too!! I'd come home some days and it would be across the room! Yeah... figure that one out! Recliners are not easy to move! But he did it!

Needless to say, they are in crate when we are not home, because that's when all the destruction happened.

Ya know, I thought about it... j/k!! Nooo way!

The old stuff was so uncomfortable that the dogs were the only ones that still sat on it! When guest would come over, they would sit at the kitchen table! I kept couch covers and/or blankets over both, but still... ugh.. they were BAD! We sure got our money out of them! The set was only $400 and it lasted 9 years!!

Actually, the new set is too big Luckily each piece is separate, so when we put the house back up for sale in the Spring, we'll take a piece or two out so it doesn't look like such a monster in our small house! And when we move into a new house, we can reconfigure it to fit any room!

I just bought new furniture, too; the old stuff was amazingly ratty. The cats are allowed on it, but NO PICKING! They've been good so far. Moby in particular needed to inspect every piece.

Very nice! I hope you are able to keep it that way! Our new leather club recliners are already "prickled" from kitty claws!
