    Dog bed reccomendations?

Hi all. I've recently taken a job away from home, I leave in a few days. Niņo now spends most nights and a good deal of the day on his bed, because mine is very high now since my parents put a box spring thing. I think his joints are aching and he doesn't like to jump really anymore. Since I am going to be making money now, I'd like to buy him a nice dog bed that will keep him up off the floor. His old one is kind of thin.

I am looking for something that I can buy online and have shipped to the house, and something that's not too expensive as far as beds go.

These are really nice beds. I realize you said not to expensive but I'm not exactly sure what that means in price range. I guess it depends on what size the man needs.

just an option they have a lot of other beds at cabelas. somewhere to look

Thanks, I'll browse around on their site. He'll need something kind of big because he likes to spread out.

Have you thought about a set of stairs or a ramp? That way he can still get on your bed. I got a set for my little man and he loves it. And they aren't nearly as pricy as beds can be,espically if your looking for something off the floor..goodluck either way. Here are a few sites that may be helpful

I have, but my bedroom is in the basement away from all the activity, which he likes to be a part of, so he wouldn't really go in my room if I wasn't there.

Kia likes the nesting beds so I plan to get her one like this soon to replace her old worn out one.

I bought the 3 beds for my dogs at Sams Club. They are very big and look very comfortable (have that memory foam stuff in them), yet they were fairly cheap in comparison to pet beds at Petco for example. I think the ones at Sams Club were around $25-$30 a piece.

Oreo likes the beds that are called "bolster" beds because she likes to have a pillow for her head. They have a 4" thick flat bottom and then a soft round bolster that goes around the edge. I bought hers online at Drs. Foster and Smith: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...3&pcatid=14153

If those are too expensive, you could try this: You could buy a thick piece of "egg crate" foam or "orthopedic" foam in the size you need from an upholstery fabric store or an upholstery supply store. Then, you can sew whatever kind of cover you want for it.

I think he'd like that last one the best, but I'd have to save a while.
