    Pineapple turnover?

I went to the store and bought two chocochip cookies and two pineapple turnover bars from the Mex pastry counter!

The Mexicans make all kinds of wonderful cakes, cookies and pastries with a twist! Example? The choco cookies are more like a dense cake than a crispy cookie.

    Same with the turnovers......

They are buttery, flaky in texture with a filling of pineapple preserves.

I sat down to have one the other day and about two seconds after I took the first bite I had a cat in my lap licking to buttery glaze off the top, then biting into the pineapple.....About two minutes later I had pastry flakes all over my shirt, pants and floor.

four miniutes later I had a cat grooming himself at my feet and he way passed out 7 minutes later.

The Edster loves cake crumbs and some sweets, but I had never seen him gorge himself on anything like that before.

I have another turnover that I plan on eating with some hot chocolate.

Oops, I Plan on SHARING it!

    Are you a *slow learner*?

I think I'd be baggin the goodies and taking a short hike out to the porch steps,
REMEMBERING to *close the door* with said KAT contained withIN the House.

Chew softly and *slurp* not the hot chawklit ... da KAT will never know.

Now, what happened to the ChocoChippies?

I have made the pineapple turnovers on the boat, they vanished.. I don't remember seeing Ed anywhere on the boat though!

I bet he was more than happy to share HIS turnover with you and will be glad to share the other one with you too.

Kitties are so funny. We bought a small sorta coffee cake with lemon filling while I was home. When we sat down on the couch to have a bit, we had a pool of sharks circling us.

Cammie and Pepper were the worst. I couldn't believe how much they liked it and kept coming back for more. I figured they'd just taste it, turn up their nose, and walk away. Who knew that cats liked lemons?

    LOL,
    I'm more dumb than slow!

Ed's more a CAKESTER! I never knew he liked the pineapple! The second TO was peced out and we both enjoyed it.

THe ChocoChippies were inspected and duly dismisssed.

If I go into the kitchen and any BOX is lifted from the pantry-That is REALLY inispected due to the fact that boxed food is 'du jour' at the moment!

We don't get these pineapple turnovers here- but I am sure Filou would like them. He licks the top from croissants - talk about buttery and flaky- and checked out all the Christmas cookies- especially cocos macaroons- he eats all the sweet cocos stuff out and leaves the bottoms to whoever will take care of it

The pineapple turnovers sound yummy. You can send some my way. I've read that cats don't like sweets. I guess my cats weren't informed about this because they sure do beg for them. I'm not sure that they'd like pineapple though.

LOL! How do people exist who don't have a cat (or dog) acting as mini vacuum cleaners for our laps. It sounds like you are going to have to go lock yourself in the bathroom next time you want to eat some goodies if you don't plan on sharing. Trevor (bless his little heart) loved yogurt. I used to let him lick out the inside of the cup. He would begin to crawl over me as he saw me nearing the bottom of the cup. He could be in a dead sleep in another room but would wake up and come running when the yogurt lid would come off, and here I thought I was being quiet.
