    Guinea pig help

My guinea pig has a matted rear end for lack of a better word, and he is constantly scratching it on his water bottle, Many people seem to think its wet tail? how can i get rid of this? make him feel better? etc.

Get a wet facecloth or paper towel, and clean it off for him. Expect plenty of protest at the indignity of it all, and if it has dried on there it might take a few tries. Once he is clean it ought to be less itchy, but if it happens again, a vet trip is in order.

If it is wet tail, that is very serious and vet visit is required quickly.

Sandie, I believe wet tail only affect hamsters, mostly Syrian hamsters, not guinea pigs.
