Is Cookie Pure or mixed? If she's mixed what else is she? Her fur seems short for a golden?? Sorry, I'm a little slow :[ She's so adorable though! And I've been thinking about getting a golden, cept the long fur is an issue...

Cookie is purebred Blonde Golden Retriever. Her mom doesn't have long hair either. We're very happy about that. She's easy to groom and doesn't shed that much anymore.

Try for a golden lab!!!! Our's is 95% yellow lab, 5% golden retriever and you get the best of both worlds!!!! There are less inbreeding problems, they listen better than most labs, and have less skin problems than most goldens. If I had the choice to do it all over again, I would definitely do a cross breed!

And Mister M. definately looks so adorable!

Cookie is growing more coat though. She's also not really blonde but is yellowish and she's getting more into the lightly golden shades now that she's a little older. You can see her real color when she's in the snow. I'll attach a picture:
