    Max at vets again

Had to take poor Max to the vets again today. Although we give him regular flea treatment he still is allergic to them. Because of this he looses fur on his back due to over grooming. So off he went to the vets again for the second problem he has had this year.
He got some antibiotics and steriod treatment, so lets hope it works.

he's allergic to the flea medicine? oh poor kitty! is there another medicine they can give him? what about a bath or flea dip, I think I have heard of something like that... maybe it would be best to keep him inside?

Poor Max! Leonardo sends his sympathy. He is allergic to fleas too. He did the same thing this spring, pull the hair out over his tail and got it infected. He got his bum shaved, a shot and an antibotic for a week. I've been using Advantage flea treatment on him this summer and it's worked really great. Hope poor Max is all better soon.

Oh Heather poor Max - hope he's feeling a little better. Elizabeth's dog Tricky (dog) has this problem too - totally allergic to fleas she comes up in great big sore red weals. So with monthly treatments - Advantage - and keeping bedding sprayed with flea treatment together with the odd bath - seemd to do the trick. Course it's easier to bathe a dog than a cat!!
    Anyway fingers crossed for Max.

Poor Max. I sure hope he feels better soon. I also use advantage on my indoor only cats. They've gotten fleas in the past and now theres no problem.
