They can breed immediately upon reaching adulthood. Some say it is best to wait a day or two because the female seem to have a higher rate of rejecting males during that time. However, my first successful breeding was done shortly after Sohtym (my purple) matured. ^_^

Which one? The pink or the guardian?

Sweet! You will probably get one of each. Who knows though! You have a pretty varied lineage, for the size, with gold and guardian and such!

Ugh... My four hatchlings finally grew enough to see what their genders were, and guess what? Two I knew were going to be females because they were purple, but the other two, of course, "happened" to be female too, lol. Ah well. Hopefully I'll get 4 males next time around. anyone going to take part in the halloween mass breed? There's a thread and a poll about it in the DC forums. I wish I could, but I don't think I'll have any mature, mate-able dragons by then. Hmph.

By the way, DJ, your hatchling with the shield tail is sick (in case you didn't already know).

Thanks for letting me know. My hatchlings were hidden...then I un-hid them for all of about 20 minutes and they had to be hidden again

Hopefully they wont stay sick. I need to get some males though...all of mine thus far are female!

LOL! You guys have no idea how lucky you are! Or you probably do, but, most people have trouble getting females.

I was not aware of the mass breeding. I will have to check out the forums. Is something special supposed to happen?

Try and pick up eggs from the abandoned page. Try to get the ones with four or less days, hatchlings even better! As long as you had an egg by the 26th then you will likely have an adult by Halloween (as they hatch, and grow up, at 3.5 day marks). Also, you *could* forcibly hatch the eggs but then there's still a smaller chance of them dying. (You have to do it when they are under four days)

I FINALLY got the Skywing that I've been wanting! Unfortunately, I also missed a couple of papers, a chicken, some dinos, and I'm pretty sure a gold and a silver.

    Good for you Wenisrubber.

YAY!!!! I logged on this morning, and they're all growded up!

Now to try to snatch some more eggs. Yes, I think the abandoned page is the best spot as well. I've seen some hatchlings there. I'll let you know what I get.

Edited to say: Check my siggy! Got 4 more eggs. 1 only has 2 days or so left before it'll die.

Check out http://emmilely.exofire.net its a good place to post eggs, especially dying ones as it gets a LOT of views and clicks. Eggs are released on the main page on the hour so look right when the hour switches over and you'll be able to get some eggs usually.

Awww. Yes, I've been using that site for about 5 days now. Between that one and Gwenevere's site, I haven't had to post eggs anywhere else. It's a good thing too, because most of those sites have been blocked here at work. Oh well. As long as I can still get my dargons grown up, that's all that matters.

Incubators tend to be pretty big...I wish there was a way to resize them and keep the links active.

Have you seen the links on Gwenevere's site to make your own? It would seem that you could make them as big or small as you want.... But then again, I'm not the most knowledgable about image sizes and signatures.

I also managed to pick up a hatchling off the abandoned page. That's only the second time I've seen one.

True. It is a pain. Probably why I haven't done one yet, lol.

I was finally able to pick up another split egg a few days ago. Hopefully it turns out to be female. I missed a few papers, gold, silvers, dinos, etc, and such though! I, also, picked up a vine, a pebble, another split, and another that I forgot. I "force" hatched the vine and the pebble. I put the third split and the pebble hatchling on the adoption page. I am waiting to see if my current vine is an alt, my skywing and water to grow into adults, and my second split to hatch. So, I am going to see if I can go snag a couple more eggs!

I've been wondering, how do you force an egg to hatch? I've seen it mentioned several times today on the DC forum, but I can't seem to see how it's done...

When it gets close to hatching, go to the actions menu and select kill egg. There is a slight chance you may actually kill the egg (especially if its too close to hatching or it has soft shell) but most of the time it will force the egg to hatch.

Indeed! I would recommend that if you wish to "force" hatch your egg that you wait until it is in the 4.00 range (up to 4.99, but I theorize that the less time the better your success) or less. There are three possibilities: you can force hatch and it will die, it will hatch and you will catch it, or it will hatch and scamper away. Most of the time, for me, I will catch it. I did have one run away from me and one died, though. (I did not know of these until experience!)
