Husky with USA microchip in Australian Pound!

There's a male Husky presently in a pound in Australia whose microchip is Virginia USA.
He appears to be registered with a US Home Alone service.

Dog rescue people here in Australia are desperately trying to find who owns him, here in Australia.
You can read about that on our Australian Rescue Forum.

If anyone has any ideas that might help trace this Husky....from Virginia USA where his micropchip originated....to whomsoever owns him in Australia.

Good news! The Australian breeder who imported this Husky from the USA, recognised his name & birth date when the notice about him being in the pound, was sent around Husky breeders.
The people she rehomed him with, cannot be traced. So she is going to the Pound to get him out & will rehome him.

Oh good. I was going to offer to phone the number connected with his microchip if that would help.

Karen, thank you for the thought about phoning the microchip company from US soil. There was the strong possibility that the toll-free number might not have taken an international call from Australia. So your offer would have solved that.

Thank goodness he was recognised by the Australian breeder who originally got him from the USA.

    The husky boy is fine.
The Australian rescuers phoned his microchip company's number (Home Again.) Even tho' it was 1.00 am USA time, the company could provide the husky's call name & birthdate.... Monty & he's 9 years old.

This was a great help because he'd been thought to be younger than that. He's a handsome lad, in great condition & playful & affectionate.
The Husky Club in Australia circulated his name & birthdate among the breeders here. A breeder who had first imported him from the USA recognised these details. She contacted a second Australian breeder who'd owned him.
That second breeder had rehomed him to some people....whom no one could find to contact. The trail ended there.
So the second breeder went to the pound to get him out & to take responsibility for him now & in the future. So he's safe.
The Australian rescuers & breeders were determined that Monty would not have come all the way from the USA, to perish in a pound.
The US microchip company, Home Again....was great. So were the many people in the USA who offered to help.
