Leasing A Horse!!! *UPDATE Post #10!!*

My sister and I have started looking around for a horse to lease these past few days. We used to ride a ton, but got too busy with school. Now that we are both out, we have the time to ride again.

Here are a few of the horses we applied for leasing on:

    Royal Flint "Flint"

    Cade's Pride "Kiko"

    "Eclipse"

Please cross your fingers for us that one of them works out!!!

Oh wow. They're all gorgeous, but I find myself particularly attracted to Kiko and Eclipse. The back of a horse is my favorite place in the entire world and I really hope this works out for you guys.

Good luck! Are you looking into a full lease or shareboard?

Just part board. It's looking pretty promising about leasing the first horse, Flint. Turns out his owner fosters dogs for the Border Collie rescue I fostered for and adopted Jersey from!!

Here are a few more pics of him:

We went to see Flint last week, and he was great! I think he'll be perfect for my sister and I. We both rode him a bit... he is very nice! But he has the BOUNCIEST trot ever. I could barely stay in the saddle. The past few years I've been riding Western, so I'm going to need to learn to post again. Any tips?

Also, does anyone know how often a horse without shoes needs to get his hooves done?

We both got new jobs, and we'll start leasing him come September. I'm so excited.

Flint is gorgeous. You must be so excited! I remember when my friend, after years of riding, finally was able to lease her own horse. I don`t know anything about horses, seeing as I only rode when I was about eight years old lol, but congratulations.

Awww. YAY! I'm so happy for you guys. Riding is no doubt thee very best thing in the world. And as for getting his hooves done... At the barn where I work, we get hooves trimmed every six weeks.

    Congrats!!!:
Rules for Non-Pet Owners Who Visit and Like to Complain About Our Pets:

    1. They live here. You don't.

    2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the
    furniture.

    3. I like my pet a lot better than I like most people.

    4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

    5. Dogs and cats are better than kids. They eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called, never drive your car, don't hang out with drug-using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about buying the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, don't
need a gazillion dollars for college, and if they get pregnant, you can sell the results.
