    Elephant Pictures

here are pictures of a Elephant from the Bowmanville Zoo going by our house today. There was a Parade here today celebrating the town's 150th Birthday. This is the same Elephant I got pictures of in the 2006 Santa Claus Parade,I think was in last year's also.Should have gone, but the weather didn't look promising ,it poured rain a couple of times, once after Mom left, they cancelled the Pancake Breakfast so they went another restaurant that served an all day breakfast.Fritz didn't like the Elephant barked at it while it went by,he will do it again when it comes by after this year's Santa Claus Parade in November.
thanks very much devon. I have been boo'd.

    How exciting!

My sister went to India a few years ago with her husband and FIL to meet her husband's grandparents. All she wanted to do was ride on an elephant. They finally saw one on the street, but her FIL didn't realize that's what she wanted to do, so he didn't get her a ride. Needless to say she didn't speak the language. She loves elephants.

That would just be amazing to see it walking down the street in front of your house.

    How neat!!!!! I love elephants!!!!

I just found out our zoo has an Elephant Excursion on Fridays. For $15 a person you get to go with a small group to meet the elephants, learn about them and touch and feed them. I'm thinking about doing that before it ends.

Barry! An elephant on your street, how cool is that?! Thank you for grabbing the camera and sharing the moment with us! And Fritz ... you're probably one of the few Bichons on the planet who can bark from your own home at an elephant passing by. What a great story!

    That rocks!

I think I would have barked at him too!

THis is something I learned from my GF-she collected elly-fants and told me that the statues have to have their trunks up in order to bring the house good luck!

I hope you can get some more pics in December.
