    Hello from WI

I love to talk about my pets, the ones I keep and the ones I foster. My sister and I take in animals, mostly pets, that no one else seems to want due to appearance, age, or disabilities. At the moment we are full and are adopting some of them out but here are all the critters we have taken in and some that we are looking for homes for. As far as we are concerned this is a better way to spend our money then to spend it on alcohol and junk food. I'll start with mine.

Emma Jean Rose was dumped at a cat shelter in a box on their door step. The cat shelter didn't know what to do with her since she is a dwarf rabbit. The shelter decided to take her to the local Petco where I had gone with my mother after I was very upset about loosing my other rabbit who I had rehabilitated and calmed down. There were three rabbits up for adoption at the time but Emma was so scared and I felt so bad for her... The other two were adopted within the week so I didn't feel so bad leaving them there. She is still giving me attitude after three years but I love her.

Riley and Kismet were both feeder rats that had their days numbered. I got Riley when he was only 14 grams because his mother decided to use him as a chew toy. I thought I was taking him home to let him die peacefully but he had other plans and one pound later I have a cute rat who seems to overcome everything that thrown at him. Kismet was just a cute rat that one of my co-workers couldn't bare to see him go to a home as food for a snake. He also has a big personality and a forever home.

Ollie was a pet store buy with his brother. His brother lost his mind and unfortunately had to be put down after viciously attacking his brother and myself. Ollie decided he wants to live alone now but is my big lady shoulder rat.

Tegan is a brain damaged cavy that was waiting to be adopted for over 3 months. She went through a severe ear infection at the store and after I adopted her and took her to the vet found that she had another one that also needed to be medicated. This left her stunted with a permanent head tilt and circling with no depth perception and some balance issues. She knows me and seems to have her good and bad days but she's making it. After being rejected by her own sister and another brain damaged cavy she was getting depressed so she now had a baby friend named Penny Who is one of our only perfectly healthy animals.

Rosemary and Basil are a pair of female mice who need forever homes. They were adopter from a petco to help care for another mouse that was too young to be away from its mother. Unfortunately the little one died and we now have these two wonderful girls that need a home. I was going to keep them but my new landlord says no to the mice. A new living situation means they also need to find a new place.

Cezar and Ophy are a pair of zebra finches that were also waiting to be adopted from that store in a small cage and now are with me waiting for a home. There was one person who really seemed interested in them but that fell through. Now they are still waiting for their forever home.

I also have three beta fish, one of them, of course, is damaged since a person from the house party decided to feed the fish beer. His swim bladder is damaged but he does seem to lowly beginning to adapt.

All these are my rescues and my loves.

Thanks, and OMGoodness I forgot about my little Robo hamster, she's still new. Schatzie is a little Robo hamster that has a deformed back leg that she only uses sometimes. She's already been through a lot as well as she's been on meds for the foot swelling on her and such. I guess they didn't actually give her much time at first so everyday I have her is a good day for me. I'll have to work on a picture of her but it's hard since she's such a fast little thing.
