Beautiful tank. Its a great example of a smaller saltwater tank being mintained for years. I remember Mr. Clean.

That's beautiful. It must be relaxing. I prefer freshwater myself but I have to say your tank is just gorgeous!

I absolutely adore it. I had no clue clown fish came in black LOL. I wish I had the knowledge, time, and patience to maintain a saltwater tank. Please do keep pictures coming in the future.

    ZK,

Great pictures!! I LOVE salt water fish. They are so much more beautiful than fresh water fish. Clown fish are my favorite!! I love the name tugboat.

    Wow I love your tank!
We have a huge fresh water tank and I so wished my dad would have made it salt water. The salt water fish are simply amazing and so unique looking.
Is it really as hard to maintain a salt water tank as people make it sound?
What do you have to do?
I'd love to own a sea horse or 2 some day.

Thanks for the replies everyone! A lot of work goes into it but a lot of enjoyment comes out of it.

Buttercup - A larger tank is generally more forgiving than a smaller tank. But, I find it easier to maintain a smaller one as the chores are less overwhelming for me. (A two gallon/wk water change as opposed to 10g/wk, etc.)

That said, the level of difficulty is also dependent on what you want to keep. A FOWLR (fish only with live rock) is easier than a reef tank and a reef tank can be simple or complex depending on the corals and their light/water flow requirements.

In terms of coral, my tank is pretty much full of easy keepers.

    WOW! That's beautiful!

    Thanks for sharing!
I've always heard it's hard to keep up a salt water tank, is that true?

Your setup is nicer than what the local zoo has!!

Seriously, very pretty fish, shrimp, crabs, and snails. Sorry about the porcelain crab.
