Miss Hoppy is not well.

Miss Hoppy is not well. It is hard to tell how much is because she is old (eleven years old) and how much is because she is sick. She has been sick for weeks. On Monday, the vet said she was getting better but I did not agree. I think she has been getting worse all week. She has been active less and less every day. Yesterday, she basically spent the entire day sleeping or napping. I wonder whether she will get better. Perhaps she is just acting like an old bunny.

I don't know how long the average bunny is supposed to live. Miss Hoppy's regular vet calls Miss Hoppy a miracle bunny that she has lived this long. The vet from Tufts said bunnies can live to fourteen and Miss Hoppy may live to twelve.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts.

PT Prayers for dear Miss Hoppy. She had such a great breakthrough with her tumour treatment last year!

I think the vet at Tufts was wonderful with her, wasn't he? Any point getting a checkup with him?

I she is just having a bad spell, and perks up soon. Please give her hugs for me.

I hope this is something she can recover from, but she's just sleeping an awful lot, far more than ever before. I hope she is not dying, but it is hard to tell. I'm not gonna subject her to a vet visit today, if she survives the long weekend and isn't perking up any, I will call the vet.

Sleep is a way to help your body recover from injury or illness, so maybe she's just taking it easy. I've read that domestic bunnies live from 6-8 years, but can live up to fourteen.

    Feel better soon, Miss Hoppy!

I'm so sorry to hear miss Hoppy isn't feeling well. Is she eating and drinking?

Lots of good wishes that she will get better very soon, and gentle noserubs to your sweet little girl.

    Hang in there, miss Hoppy!
