    Jake has hemangiosarcoma

My beautiful golden boy Jake was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma today. He had a pericardial tap in hopes that we can bring him home for a few weeks.

Please send some prayers that he recovers enough to be able to come and be with his family for a little while.

    thanks

I am so very sorry to hear this about Jake. I had not heard of this so
I looked it up. I do hope Jake can still have some good time to be with his
people. I loved his picture of rolling in the grass. Jake is a beautiful boy.

I am sending thoughts and prayers to Jake and his family right away. He is a very handsome boy. Feel better Jake!!

My daughter's Golden boy is named Jake too. He hasn't been feeling real perky lately either.

I'm so sorry to hear about your beautiful Jake. It may be too late for this and it might not be something that helps with this kind of cancer anyway but I have been giving my cat this product Transfer Factor. He has S.C. Carcinoma.

I hope that you are able to spend time with Jake at home and that he can be with his family. Prayers for him and for you.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes and prayers. We picked Jake up from the hospital, he looks much better than we left him (which wouldn't be hard to do...), but he is quite weak. He doesn't seem to be in pain, he'll drink a bit of water but won't eat yet. I think we'll have to see if he recovers a bit over the next couple days, if not, this is no way to live. My hope was that we could get him a bit of quality time, take him to the beach this weekend, I don't want to just prolong him not being able to do what he loves (ride in the car, chase his kong, ride, eat, ride...)

Jake is weak but responded well to acupuncture yesterday, is willing to eat hamburger and fish, and is happy to see his visitors. I'm not sure how long we have but am trying to make his last days comfortable and happy as possible.

This makes me so sad. Your Jake is a beautiful boy and I know he is as loving as any other Golden who ever lived. I have been loved by a few myself, so I know that bond.

Please know that Jake will be in our prayers and you, too.
